Its 2 min before midnight and you have no idea how psyched I am for next year. New year new goals new attitude! I already have my motivation book set. It's gonna help me have an amazing 2013 with a balance of great grades, great food, great workouts and great memories with my family and friends!
My book has things like goals, healthy foods I can bring to school so I never run out of ideas, a workout and study schedule and recipes to try. I plan to put in pictures and motivational quote-y stuff too! Also I'm planning to embark on mission ABB. Abs by Birthday >:) My determined face lol.
Here are some of my goals for 2013. Not resolutions because no one ever keeps those and I WANT to keep these!
1) Get better at time management. I don't know how I manage to waste so much time on my phone! YES IM AN ADDICT.
2) Straight As (with the exception of Chinese) for End Of Year Exams and top 10% in cohort.
3) At least a B4 for Chinese.
4) Run 5km in 30 min. I currently take 40-45min :-(
5) Abs By Birthday!!
6) 8 min plank
7) Learn to love exercising.
8) Be a genuinely more positive, happy and friendly person.
Wish all of you an amazing 2013 and a happy new yearrrrr!

Oh my gawwwwwwwd asdfghjkl. Did NOT expect this to turn out well. I feel like a microwaving god of healthy puddings :'D What's with all these amazing recipes lately? This is awesome for post workout (thats what I ate it as) especially if you made a protein sauce to go over it! But I don't use protein powder so this will do~ Please try this and lemme know how it turns out.
Choconana peanut butter foldover
Friday, 28 December 2012
You know when I know something is good? When I take a gazillion photos of it and I'm unable to short list them. Picture spam in this post. I just HAD to capture all the angles of this dark chocolate and peanut butter stuffed, banana pancake fold over.
Coconut crusted stuffed french toast
Thursday, 27 December 2012
Here's a random old recipe I never shared! It's coconut crusted French toast stuffed with chocolate peanut flour butter and topped with raspberry compote :) It's really good and I had a foodgasm eating it. Don't know why I never posted it up here lol. Maybe I didn't even have this blog then!! Omg I should post my older recipes up here??
I'm back from Switzerland!
Saturday, 15 December 2012
Hey guys I'm back from Switzerland. The land of watches and chocolates. It was FREEZING over there. My god I was this close to turning into a block of ice. I ate moderately healthy on holiday. Sorry I didn't blog at all while I was traveling. There was only wifi in SOME hotels and that was only in the lobby for most of them. All my snacks were healthy unless my brother bought some random food (like pancakes. Omg why eat unhealthy pancakes when I can make my own healthy protein packed ones!!) to try from a Christmas market or something and I had to try some. You know to be nice and all! I ate loads of bratwursts there too. German sausages. Not so healthy but what can I do? A few of the meals we got served there came with dessert. I usually only ate half my dessert or less and I ate most of the main course given to us :) At the chocolate tasting at the nestle factory, I just had tiny bites of dark chocolate (and one ordinary one) which probably totaled up to less than two pieces! I didn't have a single unhealthy breakfast :) It was buffet style breakfast every morning and I most of the time had eggs and cereal. Sometimes I had cheese and crispbreads too :)
Staying fit on holiday!
Wednesday, 5 December 2012
Leaving to the land of switzers tonight! Switzerland! Well actually 0145 tomorrow haha.
It's a family holiday so I really want to relax and enjoy myself! Although I'll probably eat some "not so clean foods" on the trip (part of the experience of traveling), I don't want to go too crazy so I'm bringing along some healthy snacks :-)
Here's what I'm bringing:
1) 2 packets of fiber one cereal
2) 1/2 packet of pumpkin seeds
3) A box of 5 go natural nut bars (but I ate one already so 4)
4) 1 packet of nuts
5) 1 trail mix bar
6) 4 mini boxes of raisins
7) Packet of dried raspberries

Zucchini chicken lasagne
Monday, 3 December 2012
This is honestly so good. It tastes exactly like real lasagne. My brother gave it his approval and he isn't exactly a healthy eater so it really is a legit lasagne tasting :) Plus it's low carb high protein! You can also make zucchini into fettuccine by slicing thin strips of zucchini length wise!
Ingredients
1/2 tbs olive oil
1/4 onion chopped
200g minced chicken
1 small tomato
2 tbs tomato paste
1 tsp minced garlic
1/4 cup water
McCormick Italian herbs
3 tbs cottage cheese
3 tbs mozzarella cheese
1/2 Zucchini
Method
1) Slice the zucchini into strips using a vegetable peeler.
2) Sauté onions in olive oil.
3) Add in minced chicken.
4) When chicken is cooked add tomatoes, tomato paste, water, garlic and Italian herbs.
5) Cook for 10 min more till the tomatoes have gotten soft and turned into a sauce. I like leaving some chunky bits in there though.
6) Then layer lasagne in a baking dish in this order. 1/2 meat sauce, zucchini, cottage cheese, zucchini, meat sauce, zucchini, mozzarella.
7) Bake at 190•C for 12 minutes.
Enjoy! Xx
3 minute clean chocolate cupcake!
Friday, 30 November 2012
Today's recipe is super simple, super quick and super super good! I had it after my jog today, a microwave clean chocolate cupcake! The melty banana bits inside are simply to die for. This recipe is adapted from @whataliate 's recipe (: It requires very few ingredients and is a perfect healthy snack and dessert as well.
Topped mine with peanut flour icing (2 tbs peanut flour, 2 tbs milk, a little water). You can choose how much cocoa powder to add because its up to your personal preference. I find this amount just right. Not too much that the cake becomes bitter. Mine was slightly softer and the bottom which could have been because I should have microwaved longer or because the banana bits sunk down. Either way I liked it! When you cut the cupcake in half the texture is fluffy and holds up really well! Can't believe this is actually healthy. #cleaneatsthattasteliketreats Here's what you'll need (:
Ingredients
1 tbs cocoa powder
1 egg
1 banana
A drop of vanilla extract
Method
1) Beat the egg
2) Mash the banana
3) Mix all the ingredients up
4) Pour mixture into a mug and microwave 3 minutes
5) Flip it out on to a plate
Enjoy!
Panda talk: Inspired
Tuesday, 27 November 2012
Hi guys I'm in a crazy happy mood now I can't describe it. I've been talking to amazing people on IG all day!
On my breakfast picture this morning a girl who is trying to gain healthy weight too told me she was there for me if I needed help and loves my pictures. Another girl who said her parents judge her eating habits told me she supports me.
Today I had band in school and people were judging my egg, turkey, bell pepper wrap :( When I posted my lunch on IG with the caption "people are judging me", I got comments telling me to ignore the judgeyness and think about the good I'm doing for myself (:
Then one of my seniors who laughed at my exercise and eating habits today just told me she's gotten inspired to eat healthy and do the blogilates call me maybe squats too :P
Also I got lots of encouraging comments today about my posts on IG. And questions! I love answering any questions you guys have! So fire away :)
Was talking to @katsruns (she is honestly so sweet) too about people judging healthy eating and fit lifestyles. How so many don't understand the difference between skinny and fit. I hate when people come to me and go like "I need to lose weight. Help me lose weight." I mean really. Just eat healthy and exercise. Get your body to the best it can be. Don't just want to be skinny.
I hate when people say their on a diet and eat super little but not even healthy! Like this:
Breakfast: 1 sausage
Lunch: 1 cup of (sugary fruity) yogurt
Dinner: NOTHING
You are NOT going to lose weight like that. You will at first but you'll gain it all back eventually when your body can't take that meager amount of food day after day.
Oh and I ate alot today! No exercise but somehow I was super hungry! So happy maybe my metabolism has increased. I find that whenever I eat a heavy breakfast my appetite for the rest of the day becomes crazy! 1609 calories when I'm normally 1100-1300 :) Plus I got my iHerb order today! Coconut flour, peanut flour and peppermint extract :) Can't wait to use em all.
Ok so that concludes my fantastic day. I feel like I used too many exclamation marks. I now know how to describe what I'm feeling. Inspired. Blog again soon!

Thick clean pizza base
Saturday, 24 November 2012
I love pizza. I've always loved it. I used to have pizza parties as a kid. I invited a few friends over and we made pizza together. I liked making smiley faces on mine (: But of course those pizzas weren't very clean. Pizza is actually pretty healthy homemade, as long as the base is healthy! I've made tortilla pizzas before, basically pizza on tortilla wraps. Although the taste was there the texture wasn't. The base makes half the pizza and with such a thin paste, the tortilla pizza wasn't bad but it wasn't fantastic. However the tortilla pizza is low carb. So I would still make it on low carb days! This recipe I'm about to share is definitely not low carb but the crust is healthy yet thick and mimics real pizza base perfectly. Got it from @healthy_rabbit_habit on instagram (:
Ingredients
1/2 cup uncooked oatmeal
3 egg whites
Method
1) Mix the ingredients up
2) Fry in a non stick pan like a pancake! I used no oil :P
Topped mine with tomato paste, tomatoes, onion, baked chicken, mozzarella (microwaved to let it melt) and chili flakes.
Hope you enjoy!
Brie & broccoli chicken
Friday, 23 November 2012
Did not expect to be posting so soon again! But today my brother left for China on a school trip and I got to cook dinner for my mum and I. Came up with this amazing and healthy stuffed chicken breast! It tastes like garlic bread inside hehe. I cooked it without putting any oil on the chicken, just a little on the tray (so the chicken doesn't stick) and it turned out so juicy and yummy! Now THAT'S the way I like my chicken boobs done. Also made some carrot fries to go along with it but that didn't taste that fantastic so...
Ingredients
•5oz chicken breast
•2 tbs brie cheese
•3 tbs chopped broccoli
•1 tsp minced garlic
•Italian herbs (Mc Cormmick)
Method
Preheat oven to 180•C
1) Season the chicken breast in Mc Cormmick Italian herbs
2) Slit chicken breast so you can stuff it
3) Mix up remaining ingredients with a fork
4) Stuff mixture into the chicken breast
5) Hold the mouth of the slit together with toothpicks
6) Bake chicken breast for 15 min and remove toothpicks
Enjoy!

Chapter 1.
Hey everyone!
My name is Sophia. I'm 13 from Singapore and like any other girl growing up, I wanted to be skinny.
Ever since I was young I've been a somewhat ball. Round and chubby. I didn't bounce though. I've been called fat countless times by my brother and one day I just got sick of it.
Last year, I started to pay attention to what I ate in an attempt to lose weight. But I wasn't paying attention to the nutritional content of food. Instead I was counting my calories and eating only 800 a day. Now I see that 800 calories was not enough for my body to run on.
Previously I was being fake healthy. I pretty much ate unhealthy food as long as I kept to 800 calories. I didn't know about carbs, protein, healthy fats and fiber!
On the 7th of September this year, I began my lifestyle change. I started another Instagram account "@healthiepanda" and followed fit, inspirational, healthy and happy clean eaters.
These people have a whole healthy community on Instagram where they post healthy recipes, inspire others and motivate each other daily. I wanted to do be part of that amazing community and inspire others too!
BEST DECISION EVER.
I'm eating clean now, exercising, not starving my body and I've never been happier. I found I liked baking around the beginning of this year and now I can channel that into cooking healthy :) I decided to start this blog to share my healthy recipes and I won't be blogging on my old one anymore. I mean the only things I post on there are pictures of when I go out (not that that often), things I buy, special occasions and what not. I can still do that here and it won't take over the point of this blog since I don't even have that much excess content to post anyway.
Anywho! This is chapter 1 of my blog. The first steps :) Please follow my blog and Instagram! I hope I can inspire you to be healthy too! Oh and it's healthiePANDA just because.
